Fishing Our Region
Cooby Dam - Cooby has been fishing quite well as of late. Jigging TT Switchprawns and Profishent Master vibes around structure on the bottom has been key. Trolling has seen a few fish caught around the northern arm and sailing club using RMG Poltergeists and Smak Golden Childs. Saltwater yabbies and live shrimp being the best bait.
Cressbrook Dam - Cressy has started to pick up over the past few weeks. Searching the deep points has been key. Throwing 18g wasabi spoons, 1/2oz sliders and TN60s have been popular options. Trolling has been successful in finding active fish, using Smak 19s and Hideup 300s. Saltwater yabbies being the best bait.
Leslie Dam - Leslie has been very consistent the past few weeks. Finding the structure on the bottom has been key, using zx blades and Zerek fish traps have been popular. Trolling has seen a few good fish caught Using Kezza Mudmouses and Profishent chainsaw 65mm. Saltwater yabbies being the best bait.
Moogerah Dam - Moogerah has been fishing quite well lately with plenty of fish being caught. Searching the deep points and around the timber has been the key. Using Palms Slow Blatts, Hotbite Spectres and Sliders have been popular options. Trolling has been successful in finding fish using Hideup 400s and Smak Blitz Bagas.
Glenlyon Dam - Glenlyon has been firing over the past few weeks with plenty of fish being caught. Throwing Gantarels and Sicario 9" Plastics early morning along shallow banks for cod has been key. jigging ZX Blades and soft vibes in the standing timber has seen a fair few yellas being caught. Trolling has seen a few fish caught using Kezza Mudmouse and Little Rippers 18+. Saltwater Yabbies being the go to bait.
Monduran Dam - Mondy has been fishing quite good as of late with plenty of fish being caught. Searching for the warmer water at the backs of windblown bays has been key. Throwing 6" and 7" Soft plastics. Jerkbaits, Molix 140s and Glidebaits. Trolling has seen good numbers caught using barra classics and Squirrel 115s.
