Product of The Week - Nories Wasaby 18g

Nories Wasaby is a jigging spoon designed to take on deep water, especially in cold conditions when bass shutdown. This is one of the few hard lures that Norio Tanabe has continuously used in winter over many years. Making use of his experience to create a lure that catches fish, he has crafted METAL WASABY.

METAL WASABY works well when searching out bass with the sonar, and targeting them directly. This is the perfect metal jig that all jigging masters have been waiting for.

Fishing Our Region

Cooby Dam -  Coby has really started to fire this past week with the recent temperature rise, these fish are starting to move out from the edges and out into the edges of the creek bed. Trolling has been popular this past week, working these areas with  deep diving hardbodies like the Smak 19, Cooby Cobba Mighty Mite and also Jackall TN60 and 70's. Other anglers still getting good numbers of fish on both bait like saltwater yabbies and worms. Jigging blades and smaller soft vibes is always a go too for this lake.

Leslie Dam
- Last weekend we saw a massive amount of both small and larger cod being caught, it's hard to past this lake at the present time. Good numbers of fish have been caught up Sandy creek and the opposite side of the dam wall, casting to structure and shallow water is key during the low light periods. Like other lakes the trolling has really fired up this past week with warmer water. Targeting the edges of the bed as well as isolated structure with deep diving hardbodies.
For other fisherman jigging blades along with saltwater yabbies has also proved successful.

Somerset Dam
- With a recent ABT tournament held on the lake during the week, the fish were very scattered throughout the lake and at times hard to find, Pelican point is holding the better numbers working around that 30foot mark on the northern side has fished well. In these next few weeks we should start seeing fish moving towards the spit and red rock and moving into deeper water. From deeping diving crankbaits, plastics and spoons, keeping these tight to the bottom is a must.

Boondooma Dam - One of the better bass lakes at the moment with the fish schooling up in big numbers off the larger lake points and shallower banks. Blades and spoons being the better options. Trolling the narrows close to the banks has also been popular for the yellow belly fisherman. Good signs of both the Stuart and Boyne arms fishing well. These fish are suspended close to structure, casting lipless crankbaits, spinnerbaits and suspending jerkbaits have all been effective.

Monduran Dam - It's go time for Monudran, with a big rise in water temp now is the perfect time to head north. This past week this lake has held consistent north westerly winds which is what these fish love especially early on in the season. Both arms of B Bay and Bird Bay has been popular with this wind direction. targeting the larger wind blown points and bays is your best bet. Its been a great Jerkbait Bite this past week with the fish really liking that smaller profile still, the Samaki Redic DS80 and Jackall 79 hanktune is hard to go past. Other baits like the ever faithful Molix 140, Zerek live mullet and slick rigs will come into play as this weather continues.
