Fishing Our Region
Cooby Dam - Cooby has been fishing quite well as of late. Searching the deeper water around the sailing club and the rockwall has been popular. Jigging zx blades and zerek Fish Traps have been producing good fish. Trolling has seen a few good fish being caught using cooby cobba deep diving mighty mites and Smak Blitz Bagas. Saltwater Yabbies being the best bait.
Cressbrook Dam - Cressy has been hit and miss as of late. Searching the deep points and edges of the creekbed has been where the majority of fish have been found. Wasaby spoons, Sliders and Jackall trigon tn60 silent. Trolling has been popular for finding those active fish using Hideup 400s and Rmg Poltergeists. Live worms being the best bait.
Leslie Dam - Leslie has been firing over the past few weeks with plenty of cod and yellas caught. Looking for structure on the bottom has been key. Jigging ZX Blades and Soft Vibes have been working well on the yellas. Bassman Mumblers and Spinnerbaits have been popular for the cod. Trolling has seen good numbers being caught using Kezza Mudmouses and Stumpjumpers size 2. Saltwater yabbies and live worms being the go to bait.
Somerset Dam - With the weather the past few weeks somerset has been fishing reasonably well. Searching the Kirkleigh flats, pelican point and the spit have been popular areas. 30g spoons, 5/8 Plastics and Jackall Mask Vibes have been the popular choices. Trolling has seen good numbers caught using Little rippers 18+ and Smak 19s.

Jigging ZX Blades and Profishent Soft Vibes has been working well. Trolling has seen a few good fish being caught as well using Profishent Chainsaws and Bad Breed "Best Ones". Saltwater Yabbies being the best bait.
