Part 2 of our Local Cost Effective Fishing Camping Areas
Roughly 65kms from Toowoomba on the Gore Highway, Just before Pampas you will see the Fysch Road sign on the left hand side just after the Pampas sign. Travel about 7 kms to Yarramalong Rd and you will shortly see the beautiful Condamine River, surrounded by Australia’s majestic gum trees and other natural flora. What better place to wake up to, listening to the gentle flow of the river with the Galahs and Cockatoos in their gallery discussing the day’s adventures.
Yarramlong does have toilets but no showers. Is pet friendly with a lot of space to mark out your own site. The river is very safe for swimming and also has a tree swing where you often see some of the very friendly local farm kids enjoying the river.
There is a concrete boat ramp but do take extra care as it is fairly steep. The river is so alive with all our native fish, From Silver Perch to Yellowbelly and the much prized Murray Cod. Permits are required for fishing.
Take your kayaks, Boat and Fishing Gear. This part of the river is well known for its many great catches.
Positioned right in the middle of farming country this awesome little camp ground is surrounded by an array of farms. If you happen to be visiting around April to June you might enjoy seeing the Snow White Cotton Fields ready for harvest right on the boundaries of the grounds.
Perfect for all sorts of RV Caravans etc.
